Stanwood Cannons Baseball and Softball is currently looking to fill baseball teams at the 8u, 9u, 10u, 11u, 12u, 13u, 14u, and 15u levels and softball teams at the 10u and 12u levels for the 2025 season (which includes fall/winter of 2024, depending on the team). We will also carry a HS Legion Roster, but will likely set that in early 2025.

Upon arrival, please check in to further direction. Please be prepared with baseball/softball appropriate attire and gear (long pants, hat, glove, bat, helmet, catchers gear (if applicable), cleats, water, etc). Pitchers may be asked to throw a bullpen session. The tryout will last 1.5 to 2 hours. Participants can expect to throw, field, hit and run during that time. Coaches and volunteers will be available to answer questions regarding the program as well. Fields will be open prior to tryout start date for players to stretch/warm-up.

The Stanwood Cannons organization, as part of Stanwood Youth Baseball, serves as a feeder program for Stanwood HS Spartan Baseball and Stanwood HS Spartan Fastpitch, with the goal of providing additional opportunities for the youth of Stanwood / Camano Island to develop and grow as young adults and as baseball and softball players through this great game, while also building up the spirit of competitive sports in our town! We place significant emphasis on on the development of our student-athletes through focus on character development, community involvement, emotional well-being, and leadership skills as part of our overall athletic development with the goal of excelling on the field and in the community. While we would like to offer spots to all interested, roster spots are limited per age group, and we are looking for players and families that best help us support this mission of building up a strong, community-based competitive program here in Stanwood.

This registration session will allow you to complete contact information, and sign-up for our upcoming tryout dates/express interest in our program.  Registration costs for the 2025 season for those that are offered a spot are still being finalized and will vary per team based on a variety of factors. Travel baseball and softball incurs many costs, but Stanwood Cannons baseball and softball works hard to ensure that cost is not a barrier to participation. Each team/coach will set a budget based on age appropriate plans for the season, and will share those rough estimated costs at the point of offering a roster spot.
